New Years Eve

Today is New Years Eve, a time to sit back and reflect on the happenings in life over the past tweleve months. I also am gearing up to set new goals for 2010. One of them will be to continue this blog. Another one will be to try and see you two again. I am sorry things didn't work out between you mother and I. These things happen and really are no fault of the children. I always loved you two and spending time playing in the yard or even coaching you in the various sports that you are in. I miss the times playing catch with the football with Hayden. I feel he is the one that hurts the most and it pains me to think that maybe he feels that I didn't love him. Hayden, I truly do love you and your brother. Nathan and I have had contact briefly about a year ago. That doesn't mean that I cared more for him. I didn't have a number to reach you at. Luckly I found it on the internet when I googled your name. Evidentally one of your friends lost their phone and needed all of the phone numbers. He set up a Facebook account and invited you all to give him your numbers. That's how I found it. I wish you would pick up when I try to call. Well I hope you both have a joyeous New Years Eve. Nathan don't drink too much. It is your first as a 21 year old. Love you both

Day Three

Good morning fellas. Today is going to be a great day. I plan on getting a ton of things done here at work and also we want to get some things done on the home front. It sure is cold this morning! 10 degrees and tomorrow will be below zero!! Nathan, I had a dream about you last night. I dreamt that I was working at SDSU putting some equipment up on the front of the HPER building in a bucket trunk. Unknown to me, you and your friends picked up my phone and videoed you standing below me talk about what a bad person I was. After recording a few seconds you left the phone on the seat of my car for me to find. Kind of depressing and I wonder what it all meant? I hope one day we do get to see each other. Well that's all for today Love you both.

Hello Boys

I hope your Christmas break is going well for you. Boy we had a heck of a blizzard here in South Dakota. We were snowed in for three days and eventually ended up with 20 inches of snow. Now we have snow sitting everywhere! The City is trying to find places to haul it but I'm not sure where. I can't believe that it will be five weeks from now and I'll be in Hawaii. It would be nice to take you both with us. I know how much it would mean to you to visit Pearl Harbor. That was the number one thing on my list to do while there. Well I will sign off for today and hope that you find this blog. Love you both

So it begins

Hello anyone and everyone. I got the idea to start this blog from the movie "Julie and Julia". I wanted a place to post journal entries for my two sons to read someday. I actually started this about six months ago as postings in a Word document. I am going to try and transfer those into this blog as soon as I can figure it out. Nathan and Hayden, I hope you are safe and warm. I also hope you had a good Christmas. I missed you both terribly over the weekend. I tried to call both of you but I never know if you get those messages. I don't know if you have changed phone numbers or if someone else is getting those voicemails. I hope to see you soon and I am going to contiue this blog as long as I can. I'll sign off for now but know that I love you both.
